About Our School
Saint Ambrose School is in the town of Cheverly, (pop. 6,400) Maryland. Located in the western portion of Prince George's County, one mile from the northeastern Washington, DC border, Cheverly lies between two major road arteries - the Baltimore Washington Parkway and Maryland Route 50.
Originally established as a planned residential community, Cheverly is convenient to Washington, DC by Metro, bus and rail. This proximity has attracted working families from more distant communities, such as Mitchellville, Upper Marlboro and Largo to our school. We draw from an approximately 20 mile radius, primarily from the residential areas east of Washington, DC.
Our proximity to the metro area, a nearby train station, a Pre-Kindergarten program, and our before and after school program are just a few of the amenities that have attracted many new families to our school community.
